We LOVE ticking and grain sack fabrics and we know that you do too! When we combined both of these looks in our Market Place Collection, we created one of our most popular and timeless farmhouse styles. We’ve been hearing for some time now that many of you would like to see Market Place in a true farmhouse red. Well, here it is…and we just know you’re going to love it! For this collection, we chose a beautifully textured, substantial-weight cotton fabric with a surprisingly soft hand feel. Our Market Place Red Ticking Stripe Quilts are made of 100% cotton shell and batting.
The quilt features repeating woven stripes in muted brick red that make a delightful contrast with the natural cream base. The “on-point” hand-quilting in a diamond design and thick cotton batting lends a lovely texture, dimension, and cozy warmth to the bedding. Reverses to the solid cream fabric.
With two coordinating fabric options in the Market Place Red Collection, it’s easy to create and coordinate your own unique, personalized vintage look. For additional options, add in pieces from other collections for easy-going interest and casual farmhouse charm.

Cleaning Instructions:
- Dry clean to preserve color/minimize shrinkage (test a small portion first)
- Or, Machine wash separately, front load commercial washer, cold water, gentle cycle

I have been searching for Christmas bedding that is festive but still classic. This red ticking stripe quilt was exactly what I had in mind. The quality on this quilt reminds me of the ones that you can purchase at Pennsylvania Dutch festivals for a fraction of the cost. I’m so incredibly excited to show this off this holiday season. Highly recommend this quilt!

Some people may think that this bedding is considered a holiday pattern, but I purchased the quilt (queen), 2 regular shams and the 16×26 shams for everyday use. I fell in love with the pattern and colors. When I received the package, I was extremely surprised at the weight of this quilt before I even opened it. It is thick and made of quality cotton materials. Does remind me of the old fashioned cotton grain sack material. It is lightly quilted – not such a deep stitch that it looks puffy. The material is very soft.
I have washed everything once, in cold water and dried it on delicate cycle for about 45 minutes to get a lot of the dampness out of it, then changed the cycle to a warmer ‘cotton’ setting – warm, not hot. It did take a total of about 1-1/2 hours to dry, but well worth it in case it wanted to draw up any. Remember, this is a heavy, quality quilt, so it will require patience in the wash. But I love it! And I have owned many, many quilts in my 65 years.
I live in an old farmhouse, so this set fits our decor perfectly.
