Find 10 Items Under $10

Recently, I decided to give myself a decorating challenge… I set out to find 10 items under $10.00, right here at Piper Classics. I was looking for seasonal, springtime products that would freshen up my home. You see, I work here at the warehouse and sometimes find myself roaming through the aisles, feasting my eyes on all the latest and greatest products on the very tall shelves. Sometimes, I’ll spot something that I love but forgot we still had here in the warehouse… and then, I rush off to place a new order!

You may find it hard to believe, because we sell so many high-end, quality products, that I’d be able to find many items for less than $10.00, but it was actually quite easy! You may want to try this challenge yourself… I bet you can find more than 10!!

  • I’m jumping right in with the bold and the beautiful Lemon & Foliage Stem for my #1 pick. There is something so fresh and clean about lemons with their bright, happy yellow that offers a joyful welcome vibe in any setting. One great thing about decorating with faux lemons is that you can add them to a small display, cabinet or tray and then complete the look with the real lemons that are already a staple in your kitchen & on your grocery list. In this way, you’ll be adding even more lemon brilliance, keeping the faux version intact, while replacing the real lemons as you use them for cooking or baking.

  • Echoing the citrus theme, I have found my #2 favorite (under $10.00 selection) in the lovely Sunshine Lemon Dishtowel. The crisp, cheerful pattern compliments the faux Lemon Pick perfectly, with another layer of brightness in a fabric, that repeats the happy lemon motif with style.

  • My #3 thrifty farmhouse find is the Hello Spring pillow cover, with warm neutrals and timeless ticking stripes. Neutrals and ticking fabric are staples in the farmhouse look and the easy-going fabric also blends well with cottage, modern rustic and boho-chic decor as well.

  • #4 I really love the look and texture of this Hanging Bead Cross, with its lovely natural wood undertones and soft, dusty white wash finish. Simply-styled with a rustic, yet graceful charm, I know that this cross will find its way into my displays through all the seasons.

  • The White-Washed Bead Garland is another easy choice as its natural tones and textures speaks to my decorating style! My #5 favorite is perfect for displaying with the Bead Cross for a lovely timeless pairing. (We have three different White-Washed Bead Garlands, and you can find all three here.)

My #6 choice could easily have been #1 because I am a professed Bird Nerd, and love to use images of birds, nests, figurines and feathers in my decorating to bring my love of nature indoors. This sweet little songbird with his understated tones and design is easily incorporated into displays or vignettes through the seasons.

 

#7 The Vintage White Pot is one of my favorite picks with its chippy paint and classic urn silhouette. This darling accent adds a stylish look dressed up for each season, whether your home has a cottage, boho, rustic, farmhouse or traditional vibe.

 

I’ve chosen the Amber Waves Candle Ring for #8 because I love the dried straw tones of this accent and feel they can accentuate a home through various seasons of the year.

Such a bright and lovely pillow cover I’ve picked for #9… the yellow of the Madison Check Yellow Pillow Cover may not be an exact match for the yellow lemon theme in my first and second picks, but since it won’t be displayed in the same room that’s not a decorating faux pas. The softer hue can easily carry the happy, sunshiny look through another area of the home.

#10 is an item that I’ve been looking at for some time. With its tiny little cutting board design and natural warm wood tone, it’s another piece that can be displayed year-round in multiple ways. As you can see, I love to gather versatile elements together that can be displayed in numerous ways to create completely different scenes and feelings.

The Layering Plank offers a small lift, setting the stage for numerous different stylings. Easily incorporated into any season, I’ll be sure to find endless ways to accentuate with this accent.
